Discomfort has something to teach Us
What?! Isn’t discomfort dangerous and something to avoid at all costs? Yes, feeling discomfort can be a sign of danger and we want to pay attention and make smart choices. But Discomfort Has Something to Teach Us can be our teacher. If we tune in and drop into our bodies and get curious, we can learn so much. This Spark of wisdom can take you from reacting to responding…how grown up is that?! 😜
Think about the last time you struggled with FOMO. Think about how easy it is to blame others for excluding you, blame yourself for being “too much”, or to react by backing away from the relationships. Lean into the discomfort and get curious. Feel and name what’s there. Is it disappointment, hurt, or anger? Feel it, name it, then lean harder. What can you learn? Is this a friend that respects and appreciates you? Is this a here and now thing or is an old wound that’s being bumped into? Discomfort has Something to Teach Us invites us to work with and learn from what is.
